Not sure you are correct about that, at the moment anyway.

My understanding was if you were returning from Spain you have to self isolate for 14 days on return.
TUI then cancelled all flights to Spain.
This was due to a sudden spike in cases.
I believe France has cases well under control and there are no sounds coming out of France to suggest any change in travel to France.

Nope . France and Italy have seen recent increases and the U.K. Gov are definitely keeping an eye on both . The official line is “ we are reviewing both countries on a daily basis “ which translated means “ we can f@&%k up your holiday plans with 4 hours notice !! ... 😭😭😭

I would imagine if France are still accepting travellers but the UK impose quarentine or close borders your chances of a refund from a fishery will shrink dramatically.

But France and Italy numbers are still well below our numbers. Spain's numbers on the other hand are over double

I think it's more political point scoring than based on a need through infection figures.

You need to complete a contact form before coming back to the UK. It's a pain but not exactly difficult and can be done with a smartphone NP. Eurotunnel send you a message asking you to do it, failure to do it could result in a £100 fine.

Border control wasn't really bothered about it so I think you could reasonably be confident to just leave it.

I'm out again this Friday and am prepared if I need to quarenteen upon return....

I guess the issue will be is if the UK enforce a 14 day quarantine for people arriving from France, will France do the same for people entering France from the UK..

It happened before, I can see this happening again if so..

So you'll have to do two weeks in France instead of one. Difficult sell to the missus but I'd give it a go.

Belgium have been added to the quarantine list this morning....

Worrying times for foreign fishing trips, venues and travellers likely to be further impacted.
