somethings changed, it used ro be so silky smooth and limp without the need to wet it, its not just this year its bad, possibly the last 2, I stripped my spools after one weekend at sandhurst as was awful a couple of years ago.

It's changed, no doubt in my mind, even a quick AI search says as much 😃

It sounds like ESP used to spool it in house, but dont any more. Could that be the difference!?

That's good feedback and very interesting indeed. I have used it for quite a few years now with no real bother, its a good reliable line for me. I fished at the start of the heatwave in France though and i did feel the line was more wiry if that makes sense, albeit it was on smaller diameter spools than i usually use too.

What an absolute load of ******** that is,its not changed because of the weather at all.This was happening to the syncro I had over two years ago,they sent me a free spool out and that was exactly the same.I asked in a tackleshop I was in a few years ago and they said they'd had numerous people saying the same as we are on here.I switched to kaizen and its been superb

Agree totally, changed about 2 years back imo.
I recommended it to a mate about then...well I got both barrels, I was sure he'd got the loaded, but no, he gave me half a spool, it was xt.

Someone somewhere is talking 💩,one person saying they changed the coating to match the loaded and now trying say nothing changed.Its a shame as it was best all rounder id used

When I first got my current reels I completely spooled up with Synchro XT, then when I needed to change just stripped back approximately 200m and have spooled up since then.

After my last session I cut all the line off to start again and the "original" stuff was a different colour to the newer stuff.

So for ESP to say it hasn't changed is complete tosh! 😡

Its probably cheaper to put the same coating on both lines,I reckon theyve lost quite a few sales because of it though

To be fair, I used 3 new reels spooled up with it, just checked the spool, XT loaded when I was in France and I can confirm it was wiry but I also put this down to the smaller diameter spools. Wonder if my other stuff is not the loaded version lol
