The point isn't to remove things that remind people of slavery, it's removing monuments that glorify those involved in the slave trade and other despicable acts, criminal or not.
Edit: James O'Brian is very funny. If you listen to some of the call ins, the people ain't got a clue what they are talking about so he takes the piss whilst trying to show them they literally have no clue on the subject. If you're uninformed and want to try and make your point, prepare to be schooled by someone that does know their stuff. Simple as that. You're going to get f*cked!!

I have just seen pictures of contractors boarding up the Cenotaph in Whitehall.
The Cenotaph is a monument to all the people who died in 2 World Wars and other conflicts since. This monument does not discriminate between race, colour, sex or age and is a monument to people who gave their lives or had their lives taken away. We now have to protect a monument that stands out as a beacon against racism, oppression and hatred.
Watch the remembrance day ceremonies and the multi-cultural showing of respect, sadness and admiration for what the previous generations sacrificed for not just for GB, but for the world.
Peaceful protest if you must at a time where the Pandemic is slowly being eradicated but be prepared to take the consequences if you catch it and spread it to your mates, family and neighbours. Do not desecrate a monument of this stature, it didn't enslave, discriminate or denigrate any nation race or culture.
But I'm sure someone will defend the desecration as for a just cause, Shame on them!
