Evening all,
Heron's fishing slow but improving as the weather turns. There are 2 swims I have closed, although I am open to offers (dependant on ability) on whether or not you can fish P12.
There really is no need to use a boat on Kingy, looking for spots is handy but once you're over 15', even the clarity can't help you so it's far easier to stay on terra firma and use a bare lead to do the work for you! I have just finished a 10 night sesh on P5 and didn't take to the water for any of the fish I caught. The trick is to drop the lead and then coax the fish through the upper layers, sounds complicated but saves pulling their lips off and/or trashing the swim by rowing over it every time you get a fish!! It is also a very easy tactic to master and saves a lot of messing around during your session..
Regards (good) pegging on Heron right now, I'm not at liberty to say
(but aim for the opposite end to the clubhouse) or 20, 23 as dark horses. Shhhh

get there early, well as early as is allowed and have a walk round. See where has been fishing and who is packing up.
Also good to do some research into which swims are best so if a good ones free you can jump straight in there
Ru did a good summary below on this thread.
Shannon I went last year I can fill you in with what I know if you drop me a text

My only fish from my first ever visit to the venue last july.
Spent 4 nights on Heron in boiling hot temperatures (35'C+) and managed to land a 37lbs+ mirror and sadly lost a fish in a dense weedbed as well.
Deffo a place i'm going back to!
