Train mate, had to go online this morning an fill in a form that you have to produce at customs.
Basically asking for passport details, travel arrangements and where you intend to self isolate when you get home.
You cannot fill in the form more than 48 hours before you travel so you will need internet access at the latter part of the week

Sounds like fun, a lot of people don´t have internet access let alone know how to use a computer etc, wonder how the Border Force will deal with that situation?.

Ok, I traveled back today lunchtime and it was pretty quiet.
All vans were sent through the X ray machine.
I was asked to put on a mask whilst my van went through.
French customs didn't even look at my passport just waived me straight through.
English customs were a different matter, they ask you to produce the form either printed or electronically.
Loads of questions about where I'd been and what I had been doing.
They also asked what I done for a living and had I been working in France.
When I replied no the guy then produced a pamphlet and told me I would have to self isolate for 14 days at the address I submitted on the form.
When I asked him how this was going to be policed he seemed a bit uncertain whether it actually would be.
Apparently you will be contacted at home to see if you are there.
I only stopped twice for fuel and everyone had a mask on and although I never went to the supermarket my mate said that masks I to be worn and that the gendarmes are parked outside making sure everyone complies.
In a nutshell you can travel but I expect things will be quite busy and slow at the ports when fisheries open up.
Make sure you carry masks and fill in the form before you return, there is £ 100 fine if you refuse to comply.

No quarantine in France as far as I know, bars are open few shops etc.
Wasn't challenged at all going out.

French quarentine is not mandatory. Bars, restaurants and shops are open with 1 meter distancing. A few places require you to wear a mask, but not many.

Yes please I also would also like to know if this is enforced.
I have already cancelled two holidays, been to work every weekday since Christmas break finished. Not been to shops or out other than for exercise. Social distanced at work, had all breaks alone and used copious amounts of soap & gel.
Now I want to drive to a lake staying in my car all the way (Eurotunnel) have my food and bait delivered to the swim each day as required, leave the lake once to fill up (pay at pump) and come home the same way encountering ****ing no one. So if some dogmatic evolutionary cul-de-sac jobsworth wishes to bugger that up I may get a little cross.
