The weed is normally ok and if there is room ru will Let u move as long as u in form him

Hi mate only been a couple of times so no expert mainline cell is a good bet . The weed on fox is generally about 20 yards from the bank then quite clear .Heron is very weedy but there lots of clear spots a marker rod is a must .Ru has maps of most swims and good knowlage of them so it's good to have a coffee and a chat when u arrive fish just like u were in England with bigger hooks lol hope that's helped u a bit the fish are stunning hope u get a few

Jeez,
Don't get so emotional fella! Hardly necessary to bring the kitchen sink. It's a carp lake, just like any other but with a smidge more weed and a scattering of Crays. Wouldn't worry too much about them either as our netting this season has been extreme in the least and we really do appear to have (finally) got 'em on the run!!

There is a swim by swim guide further down this post, as well as all the info on the Abbey website regards the lakes and how best to approach them overall and there is of course, the wonder of Facebook that'll keep you up to date on thing from day to day!
I am incredibly busy this season due to my change of position and the lack of an outright Bailiff to assist me, so I'm juggling a much bigger workload and don't always have time to answer every email in person.

dont want to take sack loads of pellet or particle to find its not needed or the other way round.

Boilies are defo in favour at the moment! The fish are really starting to feed, hard and they won't get full in bits!! I'd never advise against hemp/pellet but use those to get some smell in the water and then ween them on to the round things

What sort of experience have you got and what are you hoping to achieve during your stay?
The short answers are :
WildBoar - Lots of action from fish averaging 18-25lb but with the probability of a low 30 in there somewhere and the outside chance of a 40
Attila - No longer a runs water as such but big hits of fish are still possible, average weights are between 28-33lb and there's a very real chance of a 40lb+ fish
KingFisher - Originally better known for it's Catfish and Pike, KF has turned into an awesome winter/spring Carp lake. The average size is somewhere in the low/mid 30's, 40's are banked on a weekly basis and there is always the chance of a 50lb fish. KF also holds what we believe is actually the largest Carp on the complex but only time will tell just what it weighs....
Fox - Has the highest average weight of fish on site. Somewhere in the upper 30lb bracket, there are literally hundreds of 40's, approx 25-30x 50lb+ fish, a handful of 60's and Humpy has just topped the 70lb mark
Heron - Set up to provide more action than Fox, the average weight is slightly lower (around mid 30's) but there are a staggering amount of 50lb'ers present, around 75 fish now top that weight, with Shoulders now weighing over 85lb!
