I also think they should overhaul it and offer trades at younger ages than 16. Does that mean I denounce literature or something?

The fact people complain about hiding history by removing things when it's hidden already as the information and education isn't there to surround it makes no sense. That's nothing to do with British society, it's true of any situation, just in this case it's British history we are talking about.

Where did I say i was embarrassed by it? You really do scramble for some of your dribble don't you
I said it should be taught in schools so children know the full history of the country, not select bits of it that are preferable...in basic just for you in case you don't understand. Teach both good and bad bits...not just good bits.

Why don't we start teaching the kids about the millions and millions killed in Africa in civil wars and genocide?

Like I said, I have many thoughts on education, this is one of them. I think children should be taught lots of things. I think fundamentally to any country the teaching of its own history is important. Good and bad. I never said my thoughts were exclusive to Britain did I? You ASSUMED that.
You can try and cal me what you want but until you learn to read and understand and not just make assumptions before you start calling people things you won't be taken seriously.

I wouldn't know, I've never been a part of their education system. But as I said below, if you read it before posting stupid comments, I clearly said my thoughts on educating children on the full history of a country is not exclusive just to Britain.

To be fair I'm sure we still teach about Henry Vlll.. the only good bit of his history I recall is that he never went hungry
