I wonder when the pyramids of Giza will be taken down as these were built by slaves!
Doing a bit of a research and it would appear there was plenty of black slave masters in the US too......

Genuine question Rome was built upon slavery is there any talks or protests going on there?
There was a big BLM demo in Rome at the weekend, if that's what you mean.
I don't think anyone's talking about knocking stuff down that was built by slaves, are they?
I doubt the labourers on Stone Henge had a union rep...

Jon, A lot of the black americans spoken to were referencing the fact they were slaves and have been oppressed ever since. hence the aggression and rioting! Things have changed massively over the last 400 years but its still very much at the heart of things!
My point is the world is going mad, I mean removing Little britain and Bo selecta etc under scrutiny is taking things to far IMO..........millenial snowflakes are the next generation and their pandering to anything and everything is taking the world down a very slippery slope. We may as well ditch comedians, jokes of any kind etc etc Where do you draw the line?

Wayne, you sound like some old bloke in the corner of the pub in the 80s complaining about Bernard Manning being taken off.
I don't think Little Britain was offensive, but who am I to judge? Things move on, the world continues to turn. Lots of comedy (not Bernard Manning) wasn't intended to be offensive. The Alf Garnet character was supposed to be ridiculous himself, bit like the Al Murray pub landlord. The problem is that many people are so thick they actually agreed with the ludicrous characters and used them to reinforce their racist ideas.
Matt Lucas playing the self-important woman running the fat club who talks down to an Asian woman and says 'I didn't understand a word...' when the Asian woman speaks, is Matt Lucas taking the piss out of middle aged white self-important women, which is what they intended and not a problem.
People doing the voice and telling Asian people 'I didn't understand a word...' in Tesco the next day is the problem.
How about people just taking the piss out of people with more power, and leaving those with less power alone?
Anyone got any Prince Andrew jokes?

We are heading for a dull sanitised snowflake world, wouldn't be surprised if usually tolerant people will get restless.
Would love to hear some Prince Andrew jokes
As for taking the piss out of people with power aren't there comedy programmes where this happens?

Yeah good point Jon
When one is dealing with racists then intelligence is lacking. Their perception of some of that 'comedy' (that's subjective - I don't find ANY of little Britain funny) is different than a more intelligent viewer.
I can see both sides to the argument. Shows like 'mind your language' were just taking the p out of different racial stereotypes. Maybe little Britain is being cleverer than the dumb racists and it's an attempt to subvert things and laugh at the outdated attitudes. Who knows? Given the wider context (Matt Lucas and the 'only gay in the village' is the clear example) it seems more likely. The problem remains with the less intelligent nasty element who just laugh at the racism.
4 lions is a similar example, but Chris Morris has a long history of subverting prejudices and is - imho- far better at it than walliams and Lucas.
In other news - literally - I've just seen my old Drama school on the news apologising for their systematic racism and vowing to make changes
Like it or not, positive things are happening. Tinhead said it, small steps. We are making a good start.
Edit - stop complaining about snowflakes. Surely they are ideal for racists -( not you tinhead.)
I mean, they are white, they don't come from hot countries, if you get enough of them together then you can cover up a multitude of sins and make the whole place white...
Edit 2 - I see Trump has found new low levels to sink to. Do you think the White House staff try to confiscate his phone at night?

I'm sure that was written on the wall of the Colosseum when they ditched the gladiators
All the satirical comedy on TV is simply people taking the piss out of people in power, mostly elected politicians, but some unelected bureaucrats - lots of power either way.

You sound very scared Wayne.
What exactly are you scared of? A road where you don't live having its name changed? Why?

a world where people are treated equally regardless of ethnicity is only scary to those who prefer the inequality - likely because it means they won't be top of the pile anymore...
and street names? that's your big worry? would you be happy to bring up your kids on Hitler Avenue? we know you find the Holocaust a joke...

I see #Boycott Sainsbury;s is trending. Yesterday is was #Boycott Yorkshire Tea and #Boycott PG Tips...
Why? Because Sainsbury's, Yorkshire Tea and PG Tip have come out as publicly supporting BLM.
Yes! Seriously. You couldn't make it up.
Just off to buy some tea from my local branch of my favourite supermarket.
