Kingfisher lake has produced a new 60lb Carp! Details are a bit sketchy right now but we'll provide you with an update as soon as possible.. Elsewhere, Heron has given up one of it's prized assets to Tom Ison, who banked the 'Long Common' just before leaving first thing this morning. The fish weighed over 55lb (25kg) for the first time! As reported yesterday, Paul Matthews had a new 50lb fish from Fox lake and there have been a further 12 different 40's reported on the complex today! Karl Westcott has been bagging up, taking fish for fun somewhere on Fox, with 5 fish this afternoon alone! Andy McWilliams and John Andrews have both managed to winkle out PB's too, with fish over 43lb, the biggest going 45lb 8oz! Over on Heron, Andre Schnitzler's party have got amongst 'em as well, with a few over the 40lb barrier including a very large (for this time of year) 'Shoulders' at 82lb 8oz and the legendary 'Bruno' at a mammoth 65lb 8oz.. Good times (and good weather ahead)

The big girl has done more time on the bank over the past few weeks than I have (lol), after playing hide'n'seek from xmas until mid may, it has been out five times, ranging in weight from 80.00 to 84.00 on the nose! The above is only Bruno's second visit to the bank since the turn of the year and if you haven't been paying attention to the new FB page, Humpy is now over 70lb too!!

Congratulations on your weekender fella, defo worth the zip across the channel!
Can't believe it's so quiet here right now, Heron has switched back on after their little attempt at spawning last week and it's produced 50's for a few guys over the past 24hrs, although I lost mine due to the weed, first and last time I EVER leave my rods in, while I exit the swim.. Would've thrown the book at anyone else and have been kicking myself all day!! Managed to get it out, only for the fish to charge under the boat and cut me off on the backboard.. Bad angling!!!! Think it was the 'Unknown' judging by the scale pattern but didn't deserve it after that..
Kingfisher has thrown up a couple of 20kg fish (44+) over the same period, as has WildBoar of all places, getting a feeling that our new 'runs' water holds more surprises than we first thought
Attila is a tad slow but they've been spawning hard in there, which is good as they've pushed up to the top end of the lake now, meaning everyone can fish comfortably between 45-80 yards instead of launching singles to the horizon.
More reports as they happen, pics are always updated daily on Facebook for anyone that wants to see some of these creatures 'in the flesh'

Thanks Ru.....had a really enjoyable time Mate...just love them dark Abbey fish also good to see you Guys and the hard work Seb and Co have put in to the place! The Restaurant really looks impressive and I certainly won't be roughing it during my next trip!

Attila is done, as is Heron (we think?!), the Fox fish have got another go left in them by all accounts and I'm not sure the Kingifsher fish have even thought about it yet (but that is very deep, dropping to 42' in places, so prob taking much longer to warm up all over!)

You need to take your own boat andy. It can only be used to land fish that are weeded up. No baiting up or
Dropping rigs. Bait boats are used a lot on there.

Hi mate,
As stated above/below, rowing boats are only permitted for the landing of fish that have become stuck fast in weed, not for any other reason!! Offenders shall be prosecuted/persecuted and then generally leave feeling victimised as they'll have lost their deposit and right to fish here again! You are free to bring your own but we do have 2 on-site that are available should be be in need and these are available by contacting the clubhouse.
Having said that, we do allow people to look for spots, bait up, drop rigs and play fish from the off in Kingfisher lake as it has a head of huge catfish and it's only fair on them that you do your utmost in respect of fish safety and welfare by getting over the top of them as quickly as feasibly possible to ensure some of these absolute beasts don't get entangled in the weed, so if that's more your thing, KF is the one for you!
@ Jez, many thanks mate, you know that was the only fish I wanted, it's the only carp I have ever 'specifically' targeted and though it took me a bloody long time to do it, achieving the goal has made me a very happy camper
