Another way to look at this is it's been 42 years since 1979..... the Tory party have been in power for most of them and we have less police,less nurses, hospitals, A+E departments, schools, teachers, youth services, mental health services, midwives, firefighters etc....
Yet we have 2 TRILLION pounds of debt and more food banks than we have McDonald's restaurants.
But yeh. The Billionaire newspaper owners say socialism is evil
So people that have more in common with a homeless person than a Conservative MP vote Tory.

Ironically the Trussel Trust did open its first food bank in 1997 ........ Things can only get better 🤷♂️Unfortunately it's not just a British problem Germany has a similar amount of food banks !
