Here is the official statement from Abbey Lakes

As being one of the oldest player in the fishing world for the last 20 years, we feel it's important to officialise our statement regarding the actual holiday issues linked to the COVID-19 and invite all other french fisheries to follow the initiative in order to treat all anglers equally wherever they've booked their holidays in France !
We all know the actual situation and we all know it's changing fast but for this reason we would like to confirm that we will try to support financially as much as we can our booked anglers.
This statement will only concern (for the moment) next 30 days, which means all booking from now till 18th of April. If french borders get closed or if french adminstration asks us to close the complex or if we are not able anymore to provide the right qualitative service we've done till now towards our anglers , we will close the complex and propose those concerned anglers to refund their balance amount as we won't be able to postpone their angling session later this year as we are already fully booked.
Regarding the serious cashflow issue we will encounter by applying this statement we will be able to refund your balance amount at 50% at your request and the other 50% begin september which will give us the time to claim back all our VAT reimbursement. I hope this makes sense for everyone and that you can also understand our side of the situation.
Regarding coming balance payments due normally 10 weeks before arrival we invite you to pay them as usual bearing in mind now that if the situation evoluates in the future we will continue to apply same rules described above. If you still don't feel confident with this official statement we will allow our anglers booked between 18th of April and 06th of June to pay their balance amount in euros at arrival.
Fishing at Abbey is not only being after big fish but it's also being part of a real and strong community. So lets us all stick together and let us all beat this f** situation all together !
Don't worry...be ABBEY...✌️

Brittany Ferries have cancelled their crossings for the next 2 weeks, I guess that will be extended again as well.

I was going out on the 18th of April for a week's fishing but I myself have decided not to go. I can't see this going away any time soon plus I don't know if myself or a loved one will be sick at this time the future. Always next year or the end of the year.. But know one knows what the future holds or what the world will be like in just one months time

Lol so they closed borders with all countries that are battling virus with closed schools, restaurants etc and left open border with probably the only country in the world without any actions to stop spreading the virus... I am sure they are not that stupid...

Where have you seen this?
Website makes no mention of it?
Just seen that is only on certain crossings, not a blanket closure of sailings!
