Hi mate,
There is a small saving to be had, the price is being set at £315 per week for the 2013 season and we'll review it accordingly at the end of next year to keep it in line with current exchange rates as time moves on!
Regards,
Ru

Hi all,
As most of you are probably aware by now, Angling International are no longer the UK booking agent for Abbey and as a result there is some confusion regards who / where you need to turn to get in touch when booking a holiday..
Bookings are now being taken DIRECT at the Clubhouse so please try and get in touch using the following contact details :
Address : Les Etangs de l'Abbaye, Longueil Sainte Marie, 60126, France
Telephone : (00) 33 344 380 866
Email : info@abbeylakes.com
There is also an all new website which went live this week and despite the fact it is still a work in progress, you should be able to find everything you need to know on the complex within it! I have tried to expand on all the info I had initially posted on CarpForum by also incorporating some tactical / tips advice too, you can also see photos of some of the best fish that Abbey has to offer within the 'most wanted' section plus loads more that I'm not at liberty to discuss on here! You can access this by either typing in www.abbeylakes.co.uk or by clicking the union jack on the opening page of the .com site....
Kind regards,
Ru

Never did get any response from Angling International regarding a refund!! I paid my holiday in full and due to personal circumstances I had to miss out. I contacted them on 3 separate occasions to see if I was eligible for any kind of refund, or for them to at least tell me I am a dreamer and to do one! Never heard a word!

Good evening all, long time no speak!
Just a quick post to let you all know that I am currently sat in the Abbey clubhouse whiling away the hours preparing all manner of treats for you for the coming 2013/14 season!
Firstly and not before time I guess : We will shortly announce a Food package option which will begin on the 15th March this year. There will be a host of options, full English breakfasts only, dinner and dessert only or the full monty for the chubs out there
For those that aren't too keen on the menu, there will still be options like a pizza or burger and chips! The staff are going to give the menu a shakedown test at lunchtime tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled for details on here, Facebook or the .co.uk website!
Secondly : We are now in possession of a serious quantity of Mainline freezer baits!! We're going to try and maintain a stock of 500kg at all times (Cell/Activ-8/New grange - all in 18mm) but just in case we are going to be running a pre-order system so that you/we can guarantee it'll be freshly boxed and ready in time for the morning of your arrival! This will take the sting out of carrying it from A to B both in terms of keeping it fresh, for those of you on a long journey and also, it'll save on space for those that bring the proverbial sink! Once more, keep your eye out for further details such as prices and payment details in the next few days!
Thirdly : Although we still haven't decided where the shiny new Clubhouse is going to be situated, we thought we'd get the Tackle shop sorted in readiness! I have got some lovely treats in stock from all the best UK companies I could think of plus a few from warmer climes too
A catalogue detailing exactly what's here will be available online shortly on the .co.uk site and you'll be able to pre-order bits 'n' pieces with the same method as the bait and collect the whole lot from the check-in desk upon arrival.. Simples!
We are also ressurecting our Baitboat hire offer this season!! There will be a small fleet of (5) Angling Technics' Microcat III's available from the clubhouse so if you don't posess one, keep your fingers and toes crossed that there is a fallback option for you when you arrive! These will be run on a first come first served basis and will require a substantial deposit that is of course fully refundable.... Should you treat the boat as your own!!
Finally : Maybe and it's a BIG maybe at the moment, some of the banks may look a little different by the time the first of you arrive, especially those on Fox lake.. Watch this space..
I look forward to seeing some/all of you during the coming season,
Tight lines,
Ru

hi and first of all thanks to mike for pointing me to this thread and thanks to ru for the info on fox lake.
i'm really looking forward to my trip to fox in july as its my first visit to the abbey complex, which in turn sort of explains why i'm on a homework mission for fox lake!
i'm looking to find out all the info I can such as;
swims to avoid and swims that are favoured,
hot spots, features to look for.
best type of pellet, particle to use etc.
I understand some of this may be written elsewhere so I will have to have a good look round. im a newbie to the forum so hello to all and look forward to chatting with you

Just read through the thread some very interesting stuff there. However at the risk of appearing stupid or being a right pain I wasn't able to find the swim guide for fox lake. Have I over looked it, does such a thing exist some where else or am I being stupid and a pain lol.
Any pointers, info welcome and gratefully received.

Hi Swampus,
My bad I'm afraid, I pulled the info on Fox as I needed some of the text for the new website! If you go to www.abbeylakes.co.uk and click the lakes link on the left of the home page you'll find all you need to know. It starts with an overview of the lake and it's stock and then if you click on the two further links at the bottom of the page you'll run through some tactics and tips that I hope you'll find useful? There's absolutely nothing groundbreaking I'm afraid, just stuff I found helped while I worked here as a Bailiff two seasons ago..

Ru

PS The new menu is up on both the Abbeylakes FB profile and also on the home page of the website now! Hope you all like what's on offer, it's cost me 2 holes on my belt doing a rigorous week of shakedown tests and although it's not the norm we felt it was time to give people something other than pie'n'chips, jacket spuds n beans and/or chilli con carnes and spag bol!!
Just over a month away from the new season and it's all falling into place, it's gonna be a good one
