Love women, always will. Can't be doing with people whoever they are, taking advantage of situations such as this for their own ends and using it for a fight or to peddle their extreme views.

Brief prece shouting in police officers faces from 2 foot away during pandemic, spraying ACAB on police carriers, smashing wing mirror of said carrier and large crowd being lead by agitators from the bandstand shouting over floral tributes "no justice no peace **** the police!"
Funny i haven't seen any of that footage on mainstream news outlets.

Very sad what has happened and these behaviours just tarnish it
I guess the lockdown is causing a lot of frustration and unrest for people but thats where an element of self control and discipline is required. People just think they can take to the streets have a riot and inflict pain on other people, like I said, disgraceful behaviour for me. How's about smack each one in the teeth and see if they like it!
Like I also said, they should have rounded them all up, took their pictures and sent them to their employers then they can see what kind of characters they have working for them, that's after a £5000 fine, muppets

It is very sad what has happened and this has now moved away from the initial vigil and is now a beast for the usual suspects to attack society, the government and Police on.
i have attended numerous marches before lockdown and it is easy to spot the usual suspects but why would someone attend a peaceful vigil with spray paint and a weapon to smash glass.

Never once suggested that rioting was justified. It isn't. My understanding is that breaking of covid rules carries a fine. Not water cannons or being set fire to / punched in the teeth.... I've always said that those who break the rules should be prosecuted. No change there. The police are entrusted to preserve order - not to escalate violence.
I'd argue that 'bringing back police brutality' is talking bollox, but each to their own. Some people might argue that it never really went away.
I outlined a number of factors that made it simple enough (to anyone with a bit of sense) to see that given the circumstances and the involvement of the Met police, it was not surprising that the event turned sour. They (and the original organisers - who subsequently called for the event to be called off) were asked by the high court to try and find a solution to a covid safe vigil and didn't. Then they were tasked under ridiculous conditions to police it. Red rag to a bull.
And perfect for the wider agenda of curtailing protest rights. As said, thrown under the bus by Boris/ Patel.
Never once suggested that because 1 met officer is charged with murder that they all are. But again, if you can't see that as being important in the lead up to what happened then .....
As for the sentencing for rape and for vandalising statues, yes one is a minimum and one a maximum. Out of interest, which statue is worth double even the most minor (in the legal systems hierarchy) sexual assault? Just wondering.
