Hi All !
The French authorities today have declared the following -
As from the 11th May all businesses can re open ( not bars/ restaurants/hotels/cafes)
This means we can legally “open”
But ......we are not allowed to travel more than 100kms and not allowed to cross a county line.
Over the next few days /weeks the government will tell us more.
Also .....the government will start to open regions of France that are deemed “green” or “safe” and this will be from the middle of May.
The second phase of opening France will start on the 2nd June and we think then that is when people will be able to go on holiday with bars and restaurants being opened again. However, we all just have to be very very patient and see how this all pans out.
This is what is happening in France. The UK has still to decide what it's going to do.
As I find out more I will update on here.
We are due regular updates from the French government.
I will be contacting all affected groups in due course. Please be patient.
Stay safe and “wash your hands!”

Looks like it will be June now

Looks like some positives there.
I've missed my April trip as many have but have one later in the summer so am feeling optimistic about this one.
Hopefully we can all get out again soon.

Today the French cancelled their Ligue 1 football program and in doing so also announced. "no sporting activity until September". They haven't expanded on what that means exactly so watch this space. They may mean events with spectators, for example.

From the 11th May certain sports are being allowed i.e. golf but no contact sports i.e. football but all of that will only apply to departments that are classed as green.

I wasn't aware that the French class fishing as a sport , more a pastime/ hobby which of course it is .

I think they are looking at stopping big gatherings of people like at football etc as with golf you can social distance yourself so maybe they will take that stance on fishing
Rather be on a bank social distancing than stood in a supermarket queue lol

Managed to rebook Le Prunet for May 2021 so we didn't lose our deposits, basically pushed it back 12 months, they were really easy to deal with so hats off to them

Looks like a French health minister wants to stop anyone traveling to France until at least the 24th of July.
And if they do then they will have to self isolate for two weeks.
They vote on it next week.
Are you sure?

This action cannot be undone.

Yes, continue
