Lots of white middle class left wingers in London, Islington being an example, other boroughs that they buy into and turn trendy, the residents of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods nearby to me are another example.

Not 1000's but quite a few, lived here all my life, seen major changes, seen slum areas become expensive trendy areas and a trend for an increase in Labour votes in these areas. In the last election London bucked the trend and the Labour vote actually increased whereas they lost much of their votes in the rest of the country.

I'll admit I only know a few backroom room people who work for the BBC, I'll also admit my edit to my other post was a bit throwaway but I wouldn't mind guessing there's a bit of truth in it

As an organization, it's white public school from the top down to good old Lenny Henry as an inclusion Tsar or whatever they made him.
The news and Current affairs try to be neutral but are so desperate for ratings and relevance that they had Nigel Farage on everything. In desperation to appear neutral, they actually overrepresent the extreme right-wing. They are so scared of the Govt that they hardly hold them to account for anything. Laura Kuennsberg bless her may as well be Johnson's nanny.
However, the public perception, aided by the Murdoch-owned press, is that it's all left wing loonies.
I feel this is primarily due to way too many cringe left-wing comics on shows, panel shows, interviews, and game shows.
They have spent the last 5 or 6 years calling half the British public thick, ignorant and racist and laughing at them.
Similarly with a Diversity make up of this:
White 87.2%
Black* 3%
Asian/Asian British: Indian 2.3%
Asian/Asian British: Pakistani 1.9%
The perception is that they try too hard for inclusivity and people resent that they would be ridiculed for even noticing. A quick look through BBC Iplayer on recent comedy commissions does look a lot like that.
