With sincere apologies to David Bowie...
Number Ten to Captain Tom
Number Ten to Captain Tom
Take your Senatogen and put your jacket on
Number Ten to Captain Tom (ten, nine, eight, seven, six)
Commencing countdown, slippers on (five, four, three)
Check your Werther's and may God's love be with you (two, one, liftoff)
This is Number Ten to Captain Tom
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to see the path you wear
Look it up on Google Earth if you dare
"This is Captain Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm walking in a most determined way
And hope that this makes up for cuts in nurses' pay
For here
Am I walking round my garden
Far above the world
Number ten is blue
And there's nothing I can do”

He's raised that with none of the bluster and bigging up celebrities do for comic relief, red nose etc ....
Hopefully it all goes to the front line free of charge without the charity elite managers getting involved and drawing large salaries and requiring big London offices in the city.
He should receive a knighthood post haste And not wait for honours list 👍🏻

Denmark is to allow hairdressers to open. Surely the UK will follow suit soon.

Middle aged men nationwide holding onto the glimmer of hope that a 20 something female hairdresser may brush their shoulder with the warmth of a bosom sooner rather than later

My sister who is a care home worker stopped in the supermarket for some bits on the way home. When she got to the till she was given an extra bag with some basics in. Toilet rolls, non perishables etc. She's tough as boots but was moved to tears.
