Have been last week mate - peg 27 - 34 carp and 3 cats between me and my girlfriend - nothing really massive but we had 4 fish over 40 pounder with 50 the bigest. Lost just one
Now it's time to have some rest in the work 🤣 of course coming again next year. If somebody didn't book swim for next year it will be really hard. 3 weeks ago I have grabed last good peg for south bassin at autumn, but whole lake was looking full. Anyway nice to hear that Big Girl still growing and it's in nice condition. Will be more nice if somebody add some photo. Spoke with Melanie, but guys don't want publish it

Really not looking good. Not only carp but all species. Still a mistery what it is causing it. But for sure a real drama is going on, on the lake. Numbers of over a thousand are being reported.

No its not from when the fish was returned. This is the only picture released of its capture since being returned. I believe it went 101lbs

Have a few questions gents. So sorry to be a pain, Looking at booking first trip in the coming weeks for next year. Swims 8,9,21 available early August and is closed All year up until this time, obviously seeing no pressure, Any info on these swims please and as to why they're closed til then?

Is the main lake and south basin joined?

Any info on swims 7 and 47

Thanks in advance

The swims are closed due to the high waterlevels in spring. South and main are seperated. Only when water levels are very high they are connected. Peg 7 very snaggy. Peg 47 good fishing at reasonable range.

To be honest, i havent fished chanty in august. Mate of mine did well on 26 in august, not many fish but big ones, read 20 kilo +. This year the fishing is very hard on the south as well on the main bassin due the weed. Most pegs are unfishable, with your lines on top of the weed and tourist going threw lines in kayaks and boats. Also there's lots of rumours about fishs kills.im out in october but i dont expect a big haul to be honest...

La bute is allways, good for some decent fish. Didnt knew it was open allready in august. But peg 37 is hard to book, because its a popular swim. Normally you have to fish far out on that peg, so goiod angling by your mate. Its also good to hear there's fish caught...

Fished 9 August before last. Water was still really high, you wouldn't of been able to fish 10 unless you was right back in the woods.
We had a few from close in weed beds but i think they are proper autumn swims. mid september onwards.

Fished 10 last October, done OK considering 8&9 wasn't doing anything.

Thank you both for your advice, I've nailed it down to 3 options for a 2 week trip. What do you think best option is?

Option 1.
Swim 10 - 25.08
Swim 26 - 01.09

Option 2.
Swim 26 - 01.09
Swim 14 - 08.09

Option 3
Swim 47 - 05.08
Swim 26 - 11.08
Are you sure?
