Actually out of the squads of four 'home' sides that played in European semis, only nine were Brits. Good old Arse reverted to the early Wenger days and fielded a totally foreign team and bench!

Anybody remember much about Celtic's triumph in the European Cup (as was) in May 1967, which I watched in B&W on an ancient TV? Not only did Celtic's entire team come from only one nation (Scotland), they also came only from one city (Glasgow)...and they were all Catholic!

That's quite some stat, isn't it!

Still four Premiership teams playing in the two major European finals cannot be bad and three of them are London teams!
