If there was nothing wrong with what he did it wouldn't need investigating...

Yeah. See post with link below.
It's like you said, 10st adult isn't equipped to deal with larger people intent on doing everything to evade capture. Either proper training or only employ capable people.

The public can cry wolf these days and it gets investigated. There was a video released in America by the public showing an officer pulling a woman from a stationery car.The video looked shocking and the officer looked like he had handled it very badly. The police force he worked for decided to release the full video from his patrol car and that showed the true events,he had acted professionally throughout and asked the woman over 20 times to exit the vehicle. She was swearing and being abusive throughout the whole incident

Either proper training or only employ capable people
That is not feasible remember, ethnicity, disabled groups, options for all, its sad but thats the truth.

Yeah so they didn't investigate because they knew he acted professionally and that was proved by releasing the full footage...
They didn't refer this incident to the IPCC for nothing. There's clearly some element of doubt that he did not carry out his duties how he should have done.

I thought you have to complete a fitness test and physicals to be a police officer? Surely that's the measure of being capable to deal with the job. Then again, I see plenty of police that probably couldn't run 10m.
Not sure ethnicity, etc has anything to do with being capable to handle the job. Could be a 10st BJJ black belt that's capable of handling the physicality of the job. Literally just being able to do your job should be a requirement of getting a job.

There might be with this incident but the officers on the frontline can't win.If they are seen to be doing nothing they are useless and if they over step the mark even slightly they are suspended. When there are no police left on the streets because nobody wants to do the job anymore then crime will go through the roof

That's like any job. Don't do anything and you are reprimanded. Step over the line of what you're meant to do and you're reprimanded.
In your workplace do you have codes of conduct and standards to adhere to?
What happens if you breach those?
Not quite sure why normal workplace practice doesn't apply to police officers

Being a police officer is far from a normal 9 to 5 job.For the money they get paid there is no chance in hell I would do it.Unfortunately its only going to get worse, would you do it for the money and **** they have to put up with

I would if I could be armed response..
Those ****ers would soon stop speeding past my place late into the night with a few sprays of an automatic rifle in their direction

Neither is working for the NHS or fire brigade or numerous other jobs. End of the day it's even more on top for them because they aren't representing a private company, they are representing the country and the government and as most see it, the law. They are scrutinised further hence why they have a comprehensive code of ethics to adhere to.
What they get paid isn't an excuse to be allowed to not be professional though is it. These people didn't take a job without knowing the pay. They made their choice for their career. Just like NHS staff, they do it for a reason more than the money. Some of them will genuinely want to uphold the law, but as we all know some do it for the power trip.
I wouldn't do it even if it paid good money.

Why would you not do it even if it paid good money?

So... at the end of today's lesson, here's what we have learned
1 - Don't f*ck with Noj. He might be a reasonable man these days but in the past (adopts best Mitchell Bruvvers / Ray Winstone accent) ... ''E used to be a bit 'aaandy!'
2 - Scozza flip flops like a grass carp on a sunny day - how would he deal with the situation...?
'if i was a copper i would have got the sack too because i would have smashed his ****ing face in' (1575)
'Glad i don't have to deal with them' (1584)
'I would love to see some of the people on here dealing with a raging nutter' (1594)
3 - We finally found out why Scozza failed the entrance exam for the Fire service...
Examiner - You see something on fire. What do you do?
Scozza - Er... put fire on it?
Examiner - Thankyou Mr Schofield, that will be all
4 - Braders needs his eyes testing.
'I know mate,he looks like a snowflake on pics I have seen of him too' - Rubbish. I look like Thor (albeit a foot shorter)
Or Farrah Fawcett.
5 - Keeping with the MCU thing. Greekskii is out very own Steve Rogers (before the serum). No matter how many times the big bullies try to knock him down, he just keeps coming back. 'I can do this all day'
6 - When Braders gets a bit aggy, the best remedy is for one of his mates to pull him off. To be fair, it could work I guess...
7 - (left blank for the inevitable comebacks aimed at me - please do better than 'snowflake' / Lefty / or just plain ***)
8 - I don't care about number 7
Peace and love all!
