Assange , not to be extradited , yet ! 
And here's the irony ' the US has 15 days to appeal. Making it January 19th. Biden becomes potus the following day at noon. It was Biden's 1994 crime bill that created the very mass incarceration system that the judge won't extradite Assange too !
This was a face saving exercise for the uk as if the case was to reach the high court , which it would of under appeal , it would of been a high profile event and the embarrassing more than questionable evidence would of been widely reported !

As my missus is a Teaching Assistant I listened to all of that 2nd link and it reminded me of a NEU zoom meeting on Sunday she was on. As it was on loudspeaker I heard what was being said and it seemed to me they were heavily politically pressurising people to go against the government and deem their workplace unsafe and refuse to attend. They were liking it to construction workers refusing to work on unsafe building sites
Doesn't matter now seeing there's a lockdown but it made me think whether the NEU is more interested in causing political trouble than educating kids.
If like the unions you don't like the current government it must make it difficult to think with an unbiased head.

If anyone believes they are impartial still they need to give their GP a ring ASAP for testing. Not been impartial for years. I mean, question time rarely has non-Tory audiences which says a lot!

The NASUWT advice was a bit less vociferous but did state that staff shouldn't feel pressure to work in unsafe conditions.
But of course all schools are safe. Boris told just a couple of days ago.
I have very mixed feelings about the teacher unions. I've refused to strike in the past over teachers pensions as I only see the students suffering with that action. I do support their strengths in questioning this appalling education minister though.
