From an individual all we can do is treat people on face value and with respect, that's it for me
You could also call it out when you see/hear it. Like I said from the start, if you Alienate that racist friend or family member by highlighting every time they are racist then maybe they will start to change. Defending someone in public to show them they have support.
I don't think as a society we are powerless. We hold the most power to remove racism as together as a whole enormous amount of pressure can be applied to racists and casual racism (that sort that people don't even realise they are doing) to create change. Some never will but many will. Or at least be conscious of it within themselves.

For once i agree
Its starts with families and households and then schools, after that, well, there is no help for some people

Yes - actively challenge rather than passively condone.
I'd go as far as to say it's our responsibility to speak up whenever we see / hear it. Embarrass that mate who always makes the casual racist remarks. Be the annoying git who always has to point out racist language - even if it's unintentional. Educate yourself and then others as to why terms like 'half caste' and 'coloured' are offensive. Teach our children to celebrate diversity rather than tolerate it. Don't shrug your shoulders and say 'it happens all the time' without calling it out when it happens around you.
It's how we can make small changes as individuals that will have that greater impact on the whole. If even just the three of us made one other person think differently about it today then that's positive. Ripples that spread.
Scozza - absolutely agreed. Treat people with respect - and show your disrespect of racist attitudes too. Football is doing good things. But still could be doing even more. Again, be annoying and when people say 'why are they still doing that knee thing'? Maybe respond with 'because the issue still exists'.
And... if someone points out a racist incident, try being comfortable with simply agreeing that it's wrong without having to say 'ah well it could happen to white people too' - because persecution and ignorance shouldn't be a competition.
Black Lives Matter has never meant that white lives don't. It's ok to simply say 'yes they do'. In the same way as supporting Macmillan Cancer research doesn't mean you think that the British Heart Foundation isn't important.
Went off one one again there, but all with positive thoughts.
Peace and love and have a good day

I just came back to have a browse and see the resident virtue-signalling 'fascist robot' is still trying to convince us that we are all racists and should take the knee... and that his opinions are correct and everyone else is wrong, he's even resorted to telling people how to speak and act, YUK. ...
You sir, are weird.
Read real book instead of fascist psychology for dummies, you'll grow up and realise things are NOT what they seem, and that'll mess you right up.

Did you just assume my gender Chairperson Mal?
Now I understand your feverish attempts to tell people how to act, feel and speak.

You don't need me to 'let you guess', you can just guess. You know, like you don't have to take life navigation from people who don't have a clue about sh*t to tell you how to act, feel and speak.

What like the government.
Also why are you telling me how to act and think? Unless you actually know stuff?

There you go again Mal and while every you do I will keep on pulling you.
ALM, they are all somebody's child at the end of the day. Let's start at the bottom. How about all the homeless who have lost everything in life, that is a very, very sad and a really desperate situation. If we are going to improve things let's start at the bottom and concentrate on our own countries problems. There's people in this category with all kinds of issues living on the streets but we will happily accept a boat load of foreign men who make it to our shores, give them free accommodation and a monthly pay check, for them to roam our streets because they are unemployable and they always will be because they have not got the skills and never will have, a lot of them turn to crime. Couple of town centres near me are full of them, games of them, coffee shops packed all day, scare the living daylights out of old folk and woman. That's what wrong for starters
Let's make it right for the disabled
Let's make it right for the old folk who have contributed to the system all their lives and have **** all
The ones who sadly can't help themselves
I can go on and on and on
Just because your number 1 priority in life is BLM don't expect it to be everybody else's, there are a LOT of other more pressing issues for me.
When you have options in front of you, you need to use them, some people do not have any sadly!!!
