RIP Sinead O'connor 🙏

Made famous for improving a Prince song (who else could say that?)

More punk than most of those who pretended to be.

A much better live performance of that song Mal.

I was into completely different music in 1990 when that was released, at the complete other end of the spectrum to her. But without question, that was one of THE songs of the 90's. She was an incredible talent.

Not only did she improve Prince's song... She also spat in his face.

Great version thanks 😊

I was also into very different music at the time, but I'd liked Mandinka, also loved Prince, and then 'nothing compares' came along and well... you'd have to be dead not to recognise the sheer quality of it. It remains one of my all time favourite songs and I became a lifelong fan of her music and her activism.

And of course, anyone who puts Piers Morgan in his place like she did is a bit special too

There's something about it isn't there.
Knowing a bit of the back story adds another dimension to it too

Yes I read some of the comments. I wish him well and hope he learns to live with his demons.

If it works as a kind of cathartic process then good for him.

Too many people keep the ****ty stuff in.

We all have our demons, but I'm quite in awe of the guy to be doing what he is after spending most of his life with undiagnosed Lyme disease, that disease broke one of the strongest men I new after not being diagnosed for a year
