Just came back from a short trip in 11 and had 5 up to 42 but lost the biggun 
Won't go into too much detail as I literally feel sick when I recall and replay events back but suffice to say I saw the biggun 6ft from the boat before the hook pulled...gutted is an understatement

Just got back from a week on Fox myself, had 10 fish up to 38 with 6 30's and 4 20's, i felt a tad unlcuky i didnt pick up a better fish....weather was pretty miserable all week and the fish were just stacked in a bay by 13....pleased with what i had but it was a grueller fishing in torrential rain, strong winds and the mud was awful....definitely need to board the front of the swims, i almost ended up in the lake on several occasions trying to net fish as you literally just slide down the bank to the water!
Jez: I think you may have been in the lodge when i was checking out this morning, didnt realise it was you and that you had been in 11...gutted for you mate!! Funny thing was i sat in that swim for an hour the day before you moved in there and i thought it looked good in there, almost asked if i could move onto heron as it feels alot more carpy than fox! Next time eh mate!

@ Dan, check out the posts below, the swims are gonna be 'english-ified' during the winter period this year lol!
@ Jez.. Really?!?! Gutted for ya mate, that's a choker n no mistake!
@ Everyone else, please note that there are some full on technicolour pics (LOL) to accompany the text I wrote below, now available on the Angling International FB page. These will be added to their website in the very near future so all you need to do from now on is print off a stack for the lake of your choice before you head off on hols and (hopefully) you'll be sorted!
PS If anyone is interested, I will shortly be offering a guiding service for 3-7 day trips for 4 anglers over to Abbey. Prices are yet to be confirmed but will probably be negotiable to begin with, dependant on just how much of a b*tch you want me to be between landing your fish and taking photos lol!!
Please note this isn't a FULL guiding service as none of you can afford to pay me enough to cook for you n all, the grub'll be sorted either via the clubhouse or the new, on-site restaurant!

One Cup n his mate are up and running! Peter has unfortunately lost a few but his mate is 3-1 up so they're certainly getting amongst them!!

Indeed it would! Must be down to the mild nov-feb we had followed by the proper chilly mar-apr?!?! She's a big ol' girl now and needs to feed a lot after a lean spell! Bear in mind also that they'll all be packing it on in preparation for spawning in the near future!

Hmmm, I'm out there 2nd and 3rd week of Septemebr. Considering all you have mentioned, I'd calculate that to be right in the middle of her lean spell! Damn!

If an upper 70 / low 80 doesn't float your boat chap then I think u could be in the wrong job lol! There should be about 10-12 others comfortably over 60 by that stage so sure you'll get over Shoulders' anorexia with them!

I was just messing mate!!! Shoulders isn't the only reason I'm going there!! Last year I went to a lake that had 1 fish over 40 lb!! It's about the fishery first, and I picked abbey before I realised if be angling for an 80lber!!

Just joshin' too mate! It's getting more and more scenic as time goes by, give it another 5-10 years and once it's fully mature, there'll be no finer place to wet a line (on holiday, obviously lol)

A up jez its steve one cups mate who jumped in 11 after you we ended up with 11 fish between us with a few losses darn weed i had the big common at 54 lb so made up with that but i realy think the new bailiff hans need to get his **** together because his heads up his arse..
