Ok so a buddy has a Trakker stove and another guy i spoke to on the bank a few weeks ago had a Bulin T4 ,to me they both looked identical ect for the name......the only difference i have found is that on the Bulin site they state the T4 is only 3000w but trakker state 3500w does anyone know if these are correct ,i would like a 3500w if possible for faster biol ect.

OK went with the Builn direct from china ,arrived after 13 days free post £18,clearly states on packaging and label 3500w .
seems to work great ...and came very well packaged along with its own little nylon bag .

i did a cold weather test with the new stove ,the main reason i got this was because of the pre heat tube on this for the cold gas.so i left a canister of plain old butane outside all night a couple of nights ago, in the morning it was white frost all over ,i tried the stove with this can and it was just perfect even on low worked just fine ,well chuffed my last stove butane in the cool let alone the cold was useless..

I had one for 6 to 7 years and eventually it clogged up with soot. I managed to get it clear but only temporarily problem soon returned. The bulin is a cheap knockoff of an optimus stove, I'd like to see someone try to do a cheaper knockoff
It works well year round, is fairly easy to strip and clean but my one gets through gas in no time and is pretty unstable, mine likes to fold itself up if I'm not very careful. I wouldn't recommend it for that reason

Why don't you just tighten the screws on the legs...
Mine has been perfect
It gets through gas if you turn it right up but never found it any worse than the others I've used and it is way quicker
gets a solid 9/10 from me and less than a third of the price of the Trakker COPY

So....I've literally just received my Bulin T4 today after seeing so many recommendations. Looks the part and fires up lovely. One thing that does concern me is that the legs don't ‘lock' out. Does anyone with one find this a problem when cooking?

I'm guessing there's a lot of variation in the leg tension on these, mine will quite readily roll itself up if you aren't careful placing/lifting a pan. I have to dig holes for the feet if on ground that isn't perfectly flat/level.
I don't get the cult following of these, yeh when they were £20 delivered with little or no competition below £50, but there are plenty of stoves with pre-heat pipes under £30 available now.

IMO, far better to buy a couple or more of cheapo's - then you may get the price down to £7 !!!
...its ironic what crap they make today, as i still have my original old BRIT 1980 camping gas stove that takes the blue canisters, and its been used for donkeys of years still works fine, only prob is the canisters are EXPENSIVE if ya can even find them!

BUT...i do get bitter & twisted on the quality of what's made today, just look at bivvy/brolly systems, i could design a BETTER quality product for what these RIP-OFF tackle-barons charge and it would be FAR SUPERIOR AND LAST 20 YEARS!

My bulin has seen better days so looking for a similar replacement. took it apart last summer which gave it some additional life.
was looking for a better quality alternative, don't mind spending a bit, but have used that style for many years, does the primus run on the silver butane/propane welders gas cylinders? Any other alternatives or should i just pay my £20 again and go for another bulin?

Had 2 bulins both didn't last a season , go for anything by primus you won't regret it best gas stoves by a mile imo I've got the easy fuel and it's head and shoulders above the bulins , I do switch to a Coleman when it's proper cold though 🔥🔥

as with Primus stoves you simply turn the gas tin upside down and it gravity feeds on the liquid that then vaporizes in the pre heat tube on the stove runs like its mid summer

I know that the original posts are 2 years old or more, but Trakker had a reputation for rebranding cheaper items and increasing the price.
The WebTex Warrior Field stove which cost about £15 Trakker were selling for £25-30.
Plain, basic, no preheat, but not bad.
The Bulin T4 which can be got for around the same Trakker were selling for around £50.
I have been through a few stoves over the years and the Bulin is my current go to. Its light, folds and packs away nicely, fitting easily in my rucksack. Mine is a few years old, and has worked down to minus 4⁰C which is the lowest temperature I have done overnighter trips with it.
