Anyone got any feedback on Free Spirit Helical rods, primarily in 12ft 3.5lb (not SU)? I’d go for the braid friendly version, not the minima style rings personally.
What are they like for casting (max 3.5oz leads allowed where I fish) and what is the playing action like?

I bought a set of those exact rods for a dedicated method/solid bag setup, with braid mainline.
Cast well, decent playing action and maybe a tad heavier than more premium priced rods, although there wouldn't be much in it.
Can't fault them really and an absolute bargain at the price too.
I also think they look very nice too, not everyone will agree
Buy with confidence, I would say.
