So I used to tie a knot for chods connecting to swivel, and the last couple of sessions I decided to try crimps because you can get the length absolutely spot on where you want or need it...
I have a lot of faith in chods, always have one rod on one for the casting at showing fish aspect, and they do me bites, up until I started using crimps for them I had a nearly 100% landing record, and using crimps I've lost four on the bounce. One of which felt very decent which is why I'm posting. I feel like it has too much movement and not pulling the hook home, or is it just coincidence and I was due a couple of losses? Anyone use crimped chods with no issues?

I use crimps a lot but not so much with Chods.
Before you squeeze the crimp, you should be able to pull the mouthtrap through tightly enough in order for it to get similar level of "grip" on the swivel i would have thought, compared to you tying a 2 to 3 turn grinner

Tried them for the first time in France this year. I was using 20lb Mouth Trap, XS crimps using the XS hole on the crimp tool. 100% catch rate using that setup.

Were you crimping the loops tight to the swivel or with some movement?
