Swapped over to braid for my syndicate as it's mega weedy this year. I've put fluoro leaders on, do people use the leader straight through or put abit of tubing on the last 12 inches or so ? I've always used tubing or a leadfree/leadcore leader so just not sure about fishing the fluoro straight through

Fluro is super soft and usually quite thick - so it's normally fine to fish fluro direct to the lead (naked), it's also super slick - so it doesn't cut or saw its way through scales like braid does.
Should be fine.

I wouldn't fish fluro AND another leader/tubing. If you want to use those leaders put them straight on the braid. The whole point of using a fluro leader for me is to fish it straight through. But that's my preference.

Been using 45 braid down to 8 yards of 28lb fluro. Only use it on one water because of zebra muscles and other anglers leave lines hanging from the trees and snags.
I baiting pole out so can't comment on casting but since using over last 2 years I don't get cut offs, never left a rig or line hanging. Pulled plenty of other people's in though.
But main thing the fish are clean with no line marks down their flanks from how I fish. 17 wraps, locked up solid. No tubing, just mainbraid, fluro leader into korda quick change lead clip. 25lb hooklink. That's my weak point on purpose.

Surprisingly tuff stuff fluro. I use braid to fluro on my barbel rods, Braid can easily ping and cut regardless of it's rated strength, fluro will take some proper stick in comparison, you can feel it going round rocks etc, nicks up but holds out. You just need to check it regular as with all end tackle

Do you definitely need the fluoro leader? If your lake is weedy then they're a fair chance you'll get weed/detritus on the leader knot which can be a world of trouble. I fish braid direct to a 6ft leadcore leader on a weedy lake and it's sound.
