Went fishing yesterday, fished one rod to the far margin at about 80 yards. Had to give it a bit of teddy as it's a 2oz lead limit, and was using my 10ft setup. During the flight of the rig, you could see the end of the tubing coming out of the tail rubber, thus increasing the possibility of tangles.

Unfortunately, I bought quite a few of these tail rubbers and they are from the same shop I got the tubing from.

Other than binning them, or using leadcore, does anyone have an easy solution for this i.e. how to stop the tail rubber separating from the tubing on the cast?

TIA.

Heat shrink over the tubing to bulk it out.

Blob the tubing with a lighter.
