For the last 2 years all my solid bag rigs have been assembled with a size 10 wide gape and a piece of Korda slow sinking imitation corn hair rigged. The hair as been kept in place with a piece of Nash blow back tube.

This has worked really well for me apart from the fact the tubing will often split whilst playing the fish rendering the rig useless for the next time.

I have tried all ways to get a new piece of tubing onto the hair but with no avail so the rig has to be remade from scratch.

Is there any tubing out there stronger than the Nash stuff or an alternative way to get around this problem?

Use a rig ring instead of tube, like the blow back rig was designed?

its just a piece of silicon tubing, I bough some from Aliexpress for a couple of bucks (I'm in Canada) including shipping for like 2mtr.

I have the same issue, just use a piece of shrink tubing , it's big enough to thread onto hook and hair but fits snug when heated down, works the same as rubber tubing

The Korda 0.5mm hook silicone is really good, really tough and hardly ever splits.
Are you sure?
