Hi has anyone used this rig the basic complicated rig? The simple anti tangle properties suits my fishing over a spred of boiles. Could you tie this out of esp soft ghost?

i would suggest so tie one up and see how it behaves
used to muck about with it using Fox illusion in 16lb simple and hassle free

I use it a lot, it fact it is my go to bottom bait rig. I tie it in 12lb Supplex, I have tied it 15lb fluro but I thought the hair kicked off too far due to the stiffness of my fluro. I always use a mesh bag as well.
Cheers il have a mess about with it 👍
Looks like a KD rig?

You mean a kd rig looks like a bcr. Not much new in this game.

I've found Nash Flourolink in 15lb is good for this rig, I won't say best as I haven't tried every fluorocarbon, but it's the best I've tried, and when pulled tied and held for 40 seconds the knot stays put and doesn't try to unravel. I tried with other fluorocarbon hooklinks and tried superglue and shrink tubing to stop the unravelling, but found that it ruined the way the hair came off the hook and defeated the purpose of the rig. I've left them long and not tied on the ring swivel link so I can slide on a pva mesh bag prior to casting. I know you can tie them quickly on the bank, but I have learnt a lot by trying various materials and variations in tying up what is basically a simple rig. Watch Steve Renyard's video and tie up exactly as he says. After all he's already done the testing for you.

I crimp a loop on the swivel end so it can retain its movement, lie flat and not bend up but also be quick change . . .
