What is the best braid for a beginners knotless knot hair rig to be cast out in solid pva bags please?

Not sure there is one as most braids will do the job. I don't use bags often now but when I did I used to prefer a soft supple uncoated braid and used Kryston Silkworm. I see many places banning uncoated braids now so would just look at a soft coated braid

A small company called Sharp Tackle sell a lovely soft braid. The nearest thing to Kryston Merlin that I've seen.

I'm currently using Korda's Dark Matter Braid - I like it because it has the tiniest bit of stiffness to it; it's not completely limp.

Is that the Aquasilk Andy?
Been looking at a replacement for Merlin for a while now. Still got an original spool but that will run out at some stage.

ESP Camo sink link is a nice braid and its not overly thin either.
smear a little bit of putty along it and it sits nicely if you use it out of a pva bag
along the lines of the waxy coating on some braids.
Korda Supernatural is VERY soft also
I have experimented with Gardner Vigilante as an all round hooklink as that has a waxy coating im a big fan.

Common baits in German is still selling Kryston Merlin. Not sure what the postage would be.

Nope. That's the newer packaging, so not the same IMO.
I'd expect it to look like this at least.

I was going through Google and everywhere is showing no original Merlin in stock.
You might find that there is an occasional one on ebay.
I'm in the same boat looking for a replacement when my Merlin runs out.

Try this in 35lb off e Bay. It's soft and very good in pva bags .
