Bit of a basic question but what's the best way of changing hooklengths easily with a standard semi fixed lead setup (like a multi rig)?
At the moment I tie one of these ESP oval rig rings to my hooklength and attach it onto this ESP clip which is then attached to the swivel in my lead clip. It's then all covered with a silicone tube. I've always done it this way and have had no problems but is there any advantage of doing it this way compared to a QC clip and small loop in my hooklength?
I'm also thinking of just tying a large loop on the end of my hooklength and using a loop to loop knot with the swivel like this https://youtu.be/1hUE3Q_23Fo?t=305. This seems the simplest way, has anyone tried it?

I use quick change swivels on the mainline then just tie a loop in the hooklink and fix it on, then cover with an anti tangle sleeve.

The same, then you can have loads of different hook links pre tied in your rig box to suit your application. The only time I don't use a QC swivel is if I need a rig with a ring swivel, for example if using a stiffish mono type hooklink.

I'm use those stik clips from korda. It gives you a little bit more movement compared to the qc swivels. And that is what I like

Years ago, long before many on here were born, I experimented with Spinlink and Minilink clips from Breakaway, along with Carp-R-Us Gizmo's.
I tried attaching swivels, quick-links, loops and silicone. I went back to standard knotting the hooklink to the mainline swivel as a join.
Various reasons, I had rigs detach themselves, they could somehow get under the double section and slide off, and while not my fish, I saw a friend lose a very big fish that I was just too slow to net and couldn't quite reach.
While I use Multi-rigs, I double the whole length of hooklink material so I can change the hook, not the whole hooklink.
My other rig set ups are all a hooklink attached to a size 8 swivel. I cut the mainline just above the knot, check it and tie on the new rig.
Equally you could have 'ready tied' rigs in a rig wallet and tie them to the swivel after cutting the old one off.
By the way, the top point about quik-links, clips or whatever is my personal opinion, others will find different and find that sort of attachment works for them.

I to used the carp are us gissmos when they came out soon replacing them with snood clips from Gemmi tackle. They were perfect for me clipping them onto a swivel either attached to the mainline, a lead clip or helicopter style. I can make all my rigs up in advance and change them easily when on the bank. I trust them so much I have continued to use them and still do, OK it's another expense but it's pennies really and it gives me complete confidence.

Bank Tackle make a swivel - ring - quick clip, I've been using them with my normal nylon hooklengths for a few years now. I find them absolutely perfect.
