Just got some of this in 50lb - has anyone used this as a hook link i think it will be perfect for a boom section or combi rig.

Don't know him personally but do know that Tom Stokes uses it for his booms. Plenty of info on the web about that.

The 50lb is the same diameter as 25lb Boom so the small crimps, 60lb is the same diameter as 35lb boom so the large crimps are best.

I emailed korda about crimping this stuff, and they do not recommend doing so. I've had mixed results in doing so. Consistency is the issue here.

I tie a perfection loop, when tightening you do get a tiny kink that requires steam to sort, which is a tad annoying but great stuff.

Ive used this, krimped since it came out and have NEVER had it fail. I cant physically force it to break under steady applied pressure.
