Has anyone used seaguar blue label or ace hard for SHR booms?

Use ace hard for booms on hinges, aswell as leaders when needed. 0.42 0.47 were both good for me!

Same here, Ace Hard in .40 for leaders and .52 for rigs. Good stuff.

i use the .37 for flouro d rigs, looks and sits just perfect with a size 4 mugga..my go to rig

I've had a search looks like the rapala is decent for knot strength.

I have heard good things about using this stuff , i was looking to use for a fluro carbon leader when using straight braid on reels. do you think it would be too stiff ? i was thinking of getting the 30lb strain , seems hard to get in the uk

I use the .40 for just that and I find it a good compromise between abrasion and suppleness.

I get it in Farlows on Pall Mall.
