Hi got a packet of these 6mm tapered bore beads and some 45lb lead free leader.

What size silicone tubing do I need to make the bead a nice fit on the leader?

Thanks

Idk, but fox also do little tapered tungsten sinkers to replace fiddling with silicone. On a 45lb leadless leader i think it will be pretty hard to find something that fits nicely. But any reasonable sized tungsten sinker will do (medium orso)

Good idea thanks. The rubber beads I have are way to slack. I'll have a look for some suitable tungsten sinkers

I found the fox sinkers grip the beads far too well, and the sinker would slip on the line before the bead fell off. Not sure you will get it onto a leader though. May be able to build up layers of shrink tube

The sinkers do work with the korda no trace beads if you soften them in water and close them up a bit though. Much cheaper than kordas offerings for the no trace beads, which if you fish naked set ups like i do, you can only buy 3 rods worth at a time for £6.50 odd.

I use these with the split Korda safety beads. They work well.
