Currently tying some slip d rigs, I use size 6 curve shank hooks, and been debating wether to use a kicker over the eye or shrink tubing? Would the kicker close the Gap up to much?

Imo yes, but same kinda happens with shrink, just a bit less. I like my slip D with a medium shank and a wider gape to start with, and then some tubing. But i'm aware many prefer curve shanks for that, and they can't be all wrong while hooking many:P
Are you sure?
