Anyone used these ? Lad on the lake swears by them says their using something In them that makes the hooks mega strong lasting for a lot longer than anything else he's used ?

You could be right about it. Vanadium is a grain refining agent. It alters the grain structure of alloys leading to certain desired properties such as strength and hardness effect.
