I've been having a lot of fish recently on zigs... strange thing is every time i use tiny bait screws I can't buy a bite. If I switch to hair rigs same hook same depth and same foam I start catching.

These screws don't seem to affect buoyancy as I've had the rig sat in the margins to test to see if they eventually sink.

I'm guessing they must change how the hook sits.... Any ideas??

I dont think that the hook makes any difference on a zig to the extent that i use 6's and 4's with no issues at all

Never used a bait screw but it does seem a bit odd
