I've always fished chods naked. But I'm up against a tubing only rule.

Does anyone fish a chod on tubing succesfully? I've tied it up but it just doesn't look or feel right, and I'm not sure why.

Try the Korda heli safe tubing kit. I don't use it for chods but it should be possible. The limit will be the length of tubing you can thread.

Thanks mate, this is what I've tried. I think the issue is i have children's 9ft rods so I just can't use enough tubing. It just doesn't sit right.

Ive tried a lot of different tubing and none of it is supple enough to sit how I'd feel comfortable.

Hinged stuff rigs it is i guess.

Maybe just fish a couple of feet of tubing, stick a bead in the top and fish the chod up the line.

I go with this, when hit with mandatory tubing rules, 12” tube set over lead with rubber, big eye swivel and stop another foot above tubing. Chad sits naked, on take swivel slides over tub so protect fish and bobs your uncle
Are you sure?
