Watched a video of Dean fishing a park lake with Korda artificial slow sinking corn. He caught a lot of small carp.
It's something I wanted to try so bought the corn and the size 10 Guru MWG hooks as shown in the video.
He described the rig as the corn wafting above the hook.
When I tied some up and tested them in a bowl of water the hook was actually standing up on its eye like a pop up fashion but was just resting on the deck.
Is this presentation ok? It looked very weird. I'm more used to the hook lying flat and the bait wafting off the side of the shank.
Video link if anyone wants to watch it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJgJ0mLbGlE

Just trim the corn a tad if you want it to lie flat

or add a micro-swivel that is pulled into the bait - offsets the buoyancy a little
