Looking for a heavy hooklink material to use for my bottom bait/wafter rigs. Looked at the esp tungsten loaded and the Korda dark matter. What would others recommend between these 2 or any other suggestions?

The ESP Tungsten Loaded in 20lb is good.

I really like the coated nash stuff. The core is Kevlar so sinks nicely, coating never breaks on the knot, lots of bs options.
PB downforce tungsten for coated braid
PB silk wire for uncoated
Tank tested them alongside other brands and they are way heavier

I use 25lb tungskin or n trap semi stiff for most of my wafters rigs

Thinking anglers tungskin , I've been looking at the other tungsten coated braids and none are as heavy . It's very good stuff

If you're using braid presumably you want it because the rig needs to be flexible. Are these really heavy braids really necessary or just fashionable?

Who said they aren't flexible too?

Flexible is a relative term. Is flexibility or weight the prime concern. Just saying it's worth thinking about. What do you need the material to do.

Eh? It's heavy enough to sink nicely, and supple enough to sit nicely on the bottom when it gets there. There's not much more it can do really, it's only a bit of braid lol
