Hi, Anyone tried crimping the tungsten loaded 20 lb X stiff? I have lost my Korda hybrid semi stiff. just crimped a couple of rigs and looks good and strong.

Yes with a big pair of pliers. used 0.6 crimps(not Korda) and large slot in the Krimper.

Definitely not for crimps that material. I wouldn't even dream of risking it.

Works with Hybrid Stiff so why not?
Just try it and if it dosent slip you've got your answer.

Completely different coatings, cant see the esp stuff being suitable at all.
it's quite idiotic to even try and fish using it to be honest

Idiotic.... stop being a sheep, experiment with things and find out what works for yourself.

doesn't bother me I'm just trying to prevent a snap/lost fish in a real fishing situation. Much better and safer tying a knot as the coating isn't suitable for a crimp., too soft, even if its marketed as Extra stiff. definitely not comparable to the hybrid. Not sure how that's being a sheep. Just common sense really.

Labeling someone Idiotic for not agreeing with your assumption is the problem!
It's only your opinion, it does not mean it is correct. It has nothing to do with common sense.
The guy can experiment for himself and decide.

I agree I have the semi stiff esp but that won't krimp no way in hell, haven't got hold of the semi stiff, the reason Korda hybrid Krimps is the ratio of hardness of the coating and the flexibility ratio is ok for krimping most coateds are either soft coatings or really brittle hard coatings a la pb skinless and green hornet.
However after some experimentation nash skinlink stiff will krimp, just tried it and with two pulla tools I can't break it and I guarantee im putting more pressure and poundage onto it than even a 50lb carp will during a fight due to the rod and stretch in the mono cushioning things
