I'm possibly misunderstanding the mechanics of both rigs but is there any reason why a Withy Pool rig can't be combined with a Ronnie / Spinner rig? Instead of the Withy pool rig connecting directly to the hook length have the shrink tube at the other end of the hook shrunk onto a swivel. Then use putty, split shot or tungsten bead. It should still give the aggressive curve of the Withy pool but also rotate like the Ronnie rig. Am I missing something? Over complicating both rigs?

The withy pool rig spins on the naked braid section. No need for extra bits and Bob's. Rather like the 360 rig. The spinner rig works but so does a rig with a supple braid section. Different ways to achieve the same goal.

Search Simon Dew on Youtube. He likes the Withy pool rig and has a video comparing different pop up rigs.
Personally, I prefer a multi-rig, for easy of changing hooks + I tend to get very good hook holds

Wouldn't this just create a less subtle but more aggressive stiff hinge rig?
Not saying it wouldn't work as the stiff hinge and withy pool rigs are great, but it would be making it more complicated than it needs to be

I do a similar thing with hinge stiff rigs now.
I basically use a ronnie boom and then can interchange from a low lying ronnie or a hinge stiff. I just make up hinge stiff sections with a loop at the bottom which i can look over the ronnie swivel and slide down abit of cut down anti tangle sleeve. It works a treat. No reason why u cant do the same with a withy pool.

There is more than one way to skin a cat!
Once upon a time I stuck religiously to the at-the-time perceived wisdom about rig construction, copying the videos to a T. It wasn't until I got a series of hookpulls on one particular rig that I started to experiment. By starting to question the perceived wisdom, I found that the analogy above was very valid.
Overthinking things can screw with your head!
