Matt uses an extra 12” of leadcore below the hook & beads - so the (light) lead's a foot below the hook. Loses virtually no fish compared with having lead below lip, even compared with a silicone boom. All terrain, weed, chod, silt & clear spots. Lead on elastic to drop if needed. Genuinely fascinated by this, anyone tried it? Thoughts?

Have done this for years but with mono/fluoro straight through and a small match fishing swivel and buffer as the bottom bead. Keeps the rig up the line on the cast without it needing to slide down with the bead on connection with a fish. I don't think indication or hooking potential are it's strengths, but it presents well

I have the clutch pretty tight on chods, after ensuring proper line lay, I'm guessing this should help?

They burn constantly mate. The day that they stop burning, I'll be worried

I'm shocked she's still alive!

Next time you see her, tell her I said hello.
