Leadclip with long hooklinks, slow sinking ronnie rig. Works a treat

I usually use lead clips as a preference, however if the silkweed is thick as s##t then I'd use a heli with the distance between the beads as short as possible without getting the rig caught in the weed.

fishing in thick (18 inches plus) silkweed heli style is a big no no in my experience.

Yeah, the presentation is great but even with ejecting the lead silkweed will collect on anything including your heli "safe" and you will become anchored with the fish pulling against the anchor and you.

lead clip, long hooklinks are the best way IMO

if your fishing on the silkweed with a wafter/bottom bait I would use barbless hooks 100%
