Could anyone tell When using a lead clip set up with soft coated braid hooklinks are you best not using a Anti Tangle sleeve and having hinge at the lead end. Many thanks

Korda hybrid type clips with the anti tangle sleeve pushed over the quick change hook would be my choice for softer braids as you will get better anti tangle properties and separation

I feel anti tangle sleeves with softer hooklinks \ Braid are a waste of time. I would even go as far and say they would probably increase tangles, as they just add something rubber and grippy for the braid to grab hold of.
As for the moving hinge on the swivel, I am not so sure, but rather have that than the sleeve.

Dont need an anti tangle sleeve but supple braid is better with either a solid bag or a two bait stringer.

Personally always use an anti tangle sleeve but use the tungsten ones, they trap air and are fairly buoyant otherwise. I really like short supply braid rigs, I'll never cast one out without a stick threaded down the hook link though.

when they have a swivel in makes no difference from my tests , sink like a tungsten one does. always use an anti tangle sleeve even with stiff combi rigs, helps just kick away that little bit easier

Korda quick change hybrid lead clips with a soft coated braid hooklink is my go to where possible. I always use a tungsten anti tangle sleeve and almost never get tangles.

I personally wouldn't fish it with a hinge at the lead end as I feel like it would be more prone to tangles, plus I like the effectiveness of the anti tangle sleeve at kicking the rig away from lead as it lays on the bottom.

Thanks for all the replies and the Korda hybrid lead clips sound ok with the tungsten anti tangle sleeves to kick the hooklink away on some of the stiffer hooklinks but on a long soft coated braid rig not to sure but probably over thinking it so will give it a go. Thanks once again

Pecky uses soft braided hooklinks on hybrid lead clips and uses the ones with the ring not qc. As long as you use a big bait or bag, tying it directly to the ring is better than an anti tangle sleeve. He swears by it and he is a carp catching machine. He uses the rig on one of the masterclass vids in Belgium fishing at range and catches loads of bigguns
