Hi All,

Tried using this with flouro and mono and find sometimes the knotless knot seems to come unraveled has anyone else had this issue and found a way to overcome it?

Even whipping back up a few times doesn't always work

Cheers

Put a hook bead on the hook pushed up tight to the knot. Or if you don't like the way that presents the hair. Try superglue.

Fairly sure it's memory in the line, used to get it with high bs Amnesia and some slippy Kryston stiff links as they were stiffer way back when. Steam it, shrink tube it, glue it, any of those should work. Downside to glueing it, it can go white over time. Sometimes just pulling the knot very tight can remedy it, worth a shot.

Put your hooklink of choice in some hot water before tying the knot and pull it very tight afterwards.

Yeah as other have said also when you tie the knot maybe try holding it in place for 10 seconds or so with rig puller each end and this can help the knot set or settle when using these types of materials.

I have this issue and find putting it in a rig board for over 24hrs under tension works a treat. I tie loads up in advance. Also try using a hook with a smaller eye. I find some chod style hooks have big eyes and gives the material more room to unravel if you know what I mean.. Alot of these products on the market are low memory.

Also try 20lb gardner tricklink. Better than fluro as its not as wirey and abit more supple.
