Does anybody use double bottom baits ? I'm going to use them on a water I'm fishing to get around the Rudd moving the rig around, what sort of rig do you tend to present them on ? Will be double 16mm boilie, thinking a blowback with a size 6 curve or something like that with a stiff coated braid.

Any rig that you would use a single bottom bait on. I add foam to stop the hair twisting round the hook.

Sounds like you need a slip d rig Fished as a combi rig.

For double baits I like a bit more spacing between hook and bait. So, slip d and similar rigs are out. I prefer a blowback rig with a size 6 curve and a stiff coated hooklink or a a combinrig made of braid and boom section

A coated braid stripped by the size 4 hook, line aligned knotless knotted with the hair the length of the 2 baits (20mm boilies), plus 10mm.

A simple basic rig, but what do I know? it only caught from just about every water I have fished including some big fish from Alton Water.

Yep, all the time. Usually with 22mm baits though. Simple knotless knot is all that's needed
