Looking for some hooklink sinkers, not used before as I've always used putty but just wondered what are the best sinkers out there and what other guys use.
Cheers 👍🏽

For me, its the Thinking Anglers XL Droppers. Really easy to work with and you can actually re use them if you are very careful with a thin baiting needle. Best ones I have personally ever used

Thinking anglers or pb sinkers are good, however on lakes where there are no crays I use either solder wire or the stripped inner from leadcore wrapped around as something for putty to grip to

Depending on how buoyant your pop up is, you might find a sinker will not be enough to hold it down without adding some putty still. However the sinker does give something for the putty to grip and seems to stay in place better i have found.

If your intending to use it for wafters / bottom baits then obviously this isn't a problem

Fox Edges Quick Change Pop Up Weights. And they are re-usable.

Lead wire, cheap as chips from Ebay or a fly fishing tackle section in a shop. Use the "Medium" gauge and just put about 3 coils tight around the hooklength to pin the hook length down.

For popups, you can finely balance the bait or have it well pinned down with lots of wire and then shrinktube over it . Cut the lead wire into short lengths about half an inch to threequarters and then thread the shrinktube on the line and push the cut lengths or wire inside the shrink tube.
Are you sure?
