Hi All,
Any recommendations for components where the lead is semi fixed and then when the fish shake their head it becomes a running rig?
Cheers

Just use one of those long tapered rubber bead things, esp amongst others do them, and slide your lead onto the back of the taper until it just grips

recently shown a semi fixed inline lead, that on hooking, becomes a running lead that ultimately can drop off, so you play the fish directly. Smart set up !

Have a look at the korum bolt n run. Use them for the barbel and are pretty decent.
I use Fox "Tadpole" beads with a John Roberts "Run ring" for a semi fixed lead or even just a running rig. Very versatile as you can swap between the two methods without altering your rig.

Fox or Solar used to make a semi fixed run rig bead, one end thicker than the other (not tapered), the thin end pushed snugly into the run ring, I still use them for floater fishing, wonder why no one makes them anymore.

I use a buffer bead that goes over the lead core leader and onto the swivel and then a quick change clip for hook rigs and then the lead goes down the leadcore and up against the buffer bead which acts as a shock absorber, the lead can move freely up and down as it's not fixed any where like a lead clip.
